Its True! one cannot simply explain a feeling. It must be experienced. Can you make someone understand your feelings in words? We will find out soon.

The moment I stepped out of the airplane, I don't know which one hit me first. The freezing cold wave (-4 degree)  or this beautiful feeling of  "Finally I made it to Moscow 😃". Clearly, I underestimated the winter of Moscow. My hostel was in Smolenskaya and I was told that the  easiest route was to take Aero-express train and get down at "Belorusskaya station and board the metro station towards my destination. Sounds simple right? Still I managed to get lost on my first day carrying luggage all over the streets of Moscow 😅.

Majority of Russians don't speak English. After a while I got worried. I was nowhere close to my hostel and it was cold. I was losing daylight. Nights were mean and freezing cold. That's when I felt this amazing feeling. I was scared but thrilled 😀 I was smiling because this is something I never experienced, at least on this scale. Somehow, I reached my hostel and got my bed and space to keep my luggage.

I had this amazing view from the window of my room. I chose this place for a reason. The city was exactly as I pictured and I finally got the answer of my question that why I was drawn to Moscow 😌. I opened the windows and the breeze felt different. I wondered if this sense of amazement was because everything was different here from what I had seen in India or Moscow was simply beautiful in its own way. I wished, this sense of amazement could last forever.

Being lost and clueless on a foreign soil may sound adventurous but sometimes it's not 😐. I lost lot of time figuring out may way to the hostel so I decided to get a sim card for internet. Elena got it for me on her identity. I would never do that for someone, I don't know much about. 😦 I am grateful to her for helping me out. In the evening, we went for a walk to Arbat street.


The history of the street goes back to as early as 1493  and it was hub for traders. It evolved into an upscale bohemian atmosphere over the centuries. It was lined up with artists, souvenir shops and musicians. Its  history has layers which makes it stand out from rest of the tourist places in Moscow.




 The street emits a mythical aura and leaves an impression which would gives a sense of belonging if you are a Bohemian. The street has been a center of attraction for those who are in pursuit of arts and music. One of my friend from hostel told me that Arbat street was official route of Stalin's motorcade to Kremlin and witnessed an assassination attempt on Stalin. The place is too good even if its tales are not true.


Its air brings out the feelings you may not have felt before. Sometimes emotions cannot be articulated in words or you may not have words that can put together how you feel.  This is when you feel, you are re-born, that you are not meant to just eat, work and sleep. There is more you could do with your life. Life is a journey. A journey to explore and experience. You cannot explore sea unless you leave the shore. For once just pack your bags, take your passport and let your soul and spirit fly. Expose yourself to this beautiful planet. Make sure you don't earn just money, car, jewelry and other materialistic treasures. These may please your body but it can't feed your soul. The only real thing that will remain with us afterlife is memories, feelings and experience.
